I read at the instruction manual of the camera first in order not to damage the camera by wrong application. Further I acquainted myself with the basic functions.

On the camera I had to set the data, the time, the SCSI-address and the energy-thrift-timer.

In order to know on which date and which time a picture was taken it was necessary to set the time and the date in the basics settings.

The SCSI-address had to be set because it is important that the address of the camera and the address of the personal computer are different. Otherwise the both devices don't communicate with each other.

In order to save the batteries of the camera they have an energy-thrift-timer which turns off the camera if it isn't used. I had to switch off this function because the camera is use in connection with a continuous power supply.
