In order to measure the lamps in terms of the light intensity and the beam angle with the measurement equipment used so far the test lamp was fixed into an extra holding. The light beam of the test lamp was directed on a wooden wall. After that an employee took a photometer and searched on the wall for the maximum value of the illumination in foot candle and sometimes the beam angle of the beam. To get these both values the employee had to hold the button for measuring on the photometer and read off the value of the display. Before they could use the inverse square law they had to convert the value from foot candle in lux. Then they had to calculate these values with the inverse square law. After that they wrote the calculated values into an extra chart.
