The assembly of the Strech Hood A is changed to a mechatronical production. This means the assembly and the installation of the elektrical system should in future be carried out by only one person in the Assembly deparment. This change results in enormous savings of time and effort.

The device consists of two identical parts. Each part of the assembly device consists of a height adjustment, which enables ergonomic work and moves the hoist car to the required height in order to check its functions. The height adjustment is realized by a scissor lift, which is operated by two hydraukic cylinders. In a specially provided suspension it is possible to hang the hoist car so that it can be tested while it is floating. An assembly table under the four mounting points enables the storage of tool parts. In order to avoid vibrations during the functional test, cross struts are provided for stabillization. Wheels help to move the assembly device.
