Background, motivation and reason of the project task

While mainly in Germany the cubicles of dairy cows in the stalls are lined out with rubber mats, shall used in America, especially in the US preferentially fracking sand is used for this purpose.

Breeding of diary cows in the United States

Due to the sand quality the measurements in the milk production show false results. The loose sanding sticks to teats the teats and enters into the system during milking system. During the precleaning process of a fully automatic milking producer sediment parts are entering into the milking system via the teats. The Sand grains might cause a malfunction here. Moreover inversed wear might appear at individual components. These dysfunctions are falsifying the test results within the milking system and are deteriorating the milk quality.
